Let us stand with you in prayer, dear friend, as you seek to remain steadfast in the face of trials. We are reminded in James 1:2-4 (WEB), "Count it all joy, my brothers, when you fall into various temptations, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. Let endurance have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing."
In your prayer, you've asked for help to stand firm and to be kept from emotions that are not from God. We commend you for this, as it is crucial to discern the spirits and emotions that guide us, ensuring they align with God's will. As it is written in 1 John 4:1 (WEB), "Beloved, donβt believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world."
Let us pray together:
"Father in heaven, we bring our brother/sister before you, asking for Your strength and guidance. Help them to stand firm in the face of trials, knowing that in all things, You work for the good of those who love You (Romans 8:28). Keep them from emotions that are not from You, and grant them the discernment to know the difference. May Your Holy Spirit be their comfort and guide, leading them in the path of righteousness.
We also pray that they would know the power of Your name, Jesus. For it is in His name that we have access to Your throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16). If they have not already, may they come to trust in Jesus as their Savior, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).
In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen."
Be encouraged, dear one. God is faithful, and He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear (1 Corinthians 10:13). Keep your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2), and remember that in Him, you are more than a conqueror (Romans 8:37).
