Anonymous, thank you for reaching out with your prayer request. We appreciate your desire for good health and well-being, and we're here to pray with you and provide biblical guidance.
Firstly, we notice that the verse you've shared is from 3 John 1:2 in the New International Version. Let's look at it in the World English Bible (WEB): "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers." This is a wonderful prayer, and we trust that it will be answered according to God's will.
We would be remiss if we did not remind you of the need to pray in Jesus' name. As Jesus Himself said, "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it." (John 14:13-14 WEB). It is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God, and there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12).
Let us pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Anonymous who has requested your blessing, your help, and your guidance in being healthy. We specifically ask in the name of Jesus that you keep them from sin and the effects of sin and even Satan in your child's life (John 17:15). We, more importantly, ask that You may be blessed and glorified in the life of Anonymous because of their trust in you and their desire to be treated according to your desire. Please guide them in how they need your healing and support. Holy Spirit come and give Anonymous the knowledge of God their savior. Lord, Jesus come and fill the heart of Anonymous in their Christian journey in their desire for a Godly spouse in their journey in being healed in their sanctified lifestyle. In Jesus' name, we pray for all these things. Amen."
We encourage you, Anonymous, to continue trusting in the Lord, seeking Him with all your heart, and acknowledging Him in all your ways (Proverbs 3:5-6). Remember that God is faithful, and He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear (1 Corinthians 10:13). He also fully supports sexual desires being fulfilled in lifetime marriage commitment between one man and one woman. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, and He will guide your paths.
If you have not already, we strongly feel that you should consider studying The Bible on your own or with a believing friend or pastor on the many requirements God has for us in the marriage relationship. We pray that you will walk with Jesus through your life with your heart set on a believing spouse to further support your Christian maturity and close relationship with Jesus as required by the scriptures in multiple parts of the Bible and commonly referred to in the phrase being unequally yoked. Lastly, if you and your lifetime spouse have not been a one man and one wife sexual relationship that is forbidden and a thought life in any sexual purposes not involving your spouse is also a sin.
We will also review 3 John 1. You will notice LORD Jesus Christ is mentioned in the WEB which is 3 John 1 of WEB:
The elder to Gaius the beloved, whom I love in truth. Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers. For I rejoiced greatly, when brothers came and testified about your truth, even as you walk in truth. I have no greater joy than this, to hear about my children walking in truth. Beloved, you do a faithful work in whatever labor you accomplish for those who are brothers and strangers. They have testified about your love before the assembly. You will do well to send them forward on their journey worthily of God, because for the sake of the Name they went out, taking nothing from the Gentiles. We therefore ought to receive such, that we may be fellow workers for the truth. I wrote to the assembly, but Diotrephes, who loves to be first among them, doesn't accept what we say. Therefore, if I come, I will call attention to his deeds which he does, unjustly accusing us with wicked words. Not content with this, neither does he himself receive the brothers, and those who would, he forbids and throws out of the assembly. Beloved, don't imitate that which is evil, but that which is good. He who does good is of God. He who does evil hasn't seen God. Demetrius has the testimony of all, and of the truth itself; yes, we also testify, and you know that our testimony is true.
I had many things to write to you, but I am unwilling to write to you with ink and pen; but I hope to see you soon, and we will speak face to face. Peace be to you. The friends greet you. Greet the friends by name.
