ranian Christians are struggling - and they've sent an urgent request for you to pray. Today is the last day of our praying and fasting.
Nasser Navard Gol-Tapeh, a Christian convert from Islam, and three visitors from Azerbaijan were arrested in 2016 at a private gathering in Tehran. They were held in solitary confinement for 2 months and endured intense interrogation. Nasser lost his appeal and began serving a 10 year sentence. He was recently denied release with no explanation despite the fact that he was eligible for parole.
Homayoun Zhaveh and his wife, Sara Ahmadi, were arrested for leading a house church. Zhaveh, in his 60s, is suffering from advanced Parkinson's disease. Nethertheless, they have been sentenced to prison just for being part of a house church.
Sam Khosravi and Maryam Flahi were convicted of "promoting Christianity". As a result they were told they would loose custody of their adopted, 2 year old daughter.
These are just a few of the unjust persecution, arrests and imprisonments of believers in Iran. Please join us as we pray for persecuted and imprisoned believers in Iran.
Pray for the safety and protection of those in prison, and for the protection of and provision for their families and loved ones.
Ask God to keep safe the members of underground house churches in Iran and for the wisdom and protection of house church leaders.
Pray for the miraculous opening of church buildings so Christians and converts can attend and worship God freely and openly.
Thanks so much for praying. From a text alert by Open Doors USA
