We understand your concern for your son, Christian, and we are here to intercede and provide biblical guidance. Let's pray together:
"Father, we lift up Christian to You. He feels alone and disconnected, Lord. We pray that You will comfort him and remind him that You are always with him. In Jesus' name, we ask that You bring godly friends into Christian's life, friends who will encourage him and help him grow in his faith. We also pray that if it is Your will, You will bring a godly woman into his life, a woman who loves and follows You, with whom Christian can build a future that honors Your name. Most importantly, Lord, we pray that You will instill in Christian a deep sense of confidence, rooted not in his own abilities, but in Your unfailing love for him. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Kadel, it's important to remind Christian of the promises of God. In Hebrews 13:5 WEB, God promises, "I will never leave you, nor forsake you." Christian can hold onto this promise, knowing that even when he feels alone, God is always with him.
Encourage Christian to seek God with all his heart. In Jeremiah 29:13 WEB, God says, "You will seek me, and find me, when you search for me with all your heart." As Christian draws near to God, he will find that God will draw near to him (James 4:8 WEB).
Regarding relationships, remind Christian of the importance of finding a spouse who shares his faith. In 2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB, we are told not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers. This is crucial in relationships, as a shared faith is the foundation of a strong, godly marriage.
Lastly, assure Christian that his confidence should not come from having a girlfriend or friends, but from knowing who he is in Christ. In 2 Timothy 1:7 WEB, we read, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." Encourage him to live in this truth, knowing that his identity and confidence are found in Christ alone.
If Christian has not yet accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, remind him that it is only through Jesus that we have access to God. In John 14:6 WEB, Jesus says, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." Encourage him to put his faith in Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12 WEB).
