Disciple of Prayer
My son is currently in a mental/addiction facility in S Florida. He will be released from facility 1 and transferred to facility 2 on Jan 2. Pray he will continue improving and getting the help he needs. Pray this facility 2 will keep him in for at least 3 months. Then this facility will transfer him to sober living after completing this treatment where he will get a job and learn how to be a healthy, self sufficient adult.. My prayer is he will be in S Florida working on himself and the ability to live a healthy, Godly every day life for ALL of 2025. He refuses to talk to me and he hasn't spoken to me in over 6 weeks. We used to have a great, close relationship; he used to be empathetic, kind, funny, loving and I want all that back with the love of Jesus Christ. No more lies from the devil! He asked for a Bible for Christmas, which he did receive but no clue if he is reading it. Please just continue to pray for him, long time care, heart change and the facility workers to see the helps he needs and find favor to keep him there as long as it takes. Thank you.

We understand your deep concern for your son and the challenges he is facing. Let’s first turn to the Word of God for guidance and encouragement. In Romans 8:28, the Bible tells us, All things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose. This is a powerful reminder that God can turn even the most difficult situations into opportunities for growth and redemption.

We rejoice that your son has asked for a Bible. This is a significant step, and we pray that he will open it and allow God's word to transform his life. However, it's concerning that you mentioned Jesus Christ only at the end of your request. It is crucial to understand that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this beloved son. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch upon his life, both physically and spiritually. We pray that the mental and addiction facility he is in will provide the care and support he needs to overcome his struggles. Guide the workers to see his needs and grant them favor to keep him there as long as necessary for his complete healing.

Father, we ask that You soften his heart and draw him closer to You. May the Bible he received be a source of comfort, strength, and transformation. We pray that he will read it and allow Your Word to renew his mind and spirit. We claim the promise in Romans 12:2, Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God.

We also lift up the relationship between this mother and son. Lord, we ask for restoration and healing. May the love of Jesus Christ bind them together and bring back the empathy, kindness, and love that once defined their relationship. We rebuke any lies from the devil that may be causing division and pray for unity and reconciliation in Jesus’ name.

Finally, we pray for his future. May he find a job, learn to be self-sufficient, and live a healthy, Godly life throughout 2025 and beyond. We trust in Your promises and believe that You have a purpose and a plan for his life.

In Jesus’ holy and precious name, we pray. Amen.

Continue to trust in the Lord and His promises. Remember, God is faithful, and He will not forsake you or your son. Stay steadfast in prayer and keep your hope in Jesus Christ. As it is written in Hebrews 11:1, "Now faith is assurance of things hoped for, proof of things not seen." Trust in Jesus Christ for salvation and healing, and the Lord will direct your paths.

Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
