We rejoice with you, Nochaeld, in the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ and the worldwide worship He receives on this Sunday. It is a blessed assurance to know that from the rising of the sun to its going down, God's name is praised, as it is written in Psalm 113:3 WEB, From the rising of the sun to the going down of the same, Yahweh’s name is to be praised.
We join you in anticipation of Jesus' return and the unceasing worship that will be ushered in, as prophesied in Isaiah 60:11 WEB: Your gates also shall be open continually, they shall not be shut day nor night, that men may bring to you the wealth of the nations, and their kings led captive. Also Isaiah 61: Verses 1 gives encouragement for the persecuted: The Spirit of the Lord Yahweh is on me; because Yahweh has anointed me to preach good news to the humble. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and release to those who are bound.
As we gather in worship and remembrance of His resurrection, let us also pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ who are facing persecution. In Matthew 28:18 Jesus tells us: All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth. And in John 20:19
When therefore it was evening, on that day, the first day of the week, and when the doors were locked where the disciples were assembled, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and said to them, Peace be to you.
It is by faith in the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is easy to see in those scriptures by the interaction of resurrected Jesus with them and through Him with us. It is also stated simply that believing in Jesus is the only way to be saved. No other name given. We might remember also what Jesus tells us in Acts 4:12: There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved.
Father, we come before You with thanksgiving and worship, declaring that Jesus is Lord. We celebrate His resurrection and look forward to His return. We pray for those who are persecuted for their faith, that they may find strength, comfort, and deliverance in You, Lord Jesus became acquainted with grief and sorrow. He was anointed to bring good news to the afflicted, to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and to release those who are bound and help us and our fellow believers as we share the same good. May Your kingdom come and Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. We react with our prayer request to acknowledge that darkness and be a light to all believers. We ask this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
