We understand the pain and struggle that your daughter Chrissy is facing. The Bible tells us in Ephesians 4:31-32, "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you."
Chrissy must understand that forgiveness is not about excusing the other person's behavior, but rather releasing the bitterness and resentment that can consume her heart. It is a process that may take time, but with God's help, it is possible. As it is written in Colossians 3:13, "Forbearing one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do."
Let us pray for Chrissy:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in Jesus' name to lift up Chrissy. We ask that You fill her heart with Your love and peace. Help her to forgive as You have forgiven her. Release her from the bondage of anger, resentment, and bitterness. Guide her and her husband through this difficult time, and grant them wisdom and understanding as they seek to heal their marriage. Strengthen their faith in You and in each other. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, we want to encourage Chrissy to continually lean on God during this time. She should pray without ceasing and trust that God is working in her situation. As Romans 8:28 reminds us, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
