Hokulea, let us come together in Jesus' name and respond to your prayer request.
Firstly, we rejoice with you as you thank God for this brand new year. It is indeed a blessing to see another year, and we trust in God's goodness and faithfulness as we navigate through it. Let us remember that it is in Christ that we live and move and have our being, and we should find everything we need in Him. As it is written, For in him we live, and move, and have our being. As some of your own poets have said,For we are also his offspring Acts 17:28 (WEB).
We join you in praying for your family, friends, neighbors, and all over the world. We pray that this year, many will come to know the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and live in the abundance of His grace and the full life that is in Jesus Christ.
The Father sent the Son to be the Savior of the world. Anyone who believes in him is not condemned, but anyone who does not believe is already condemned, because he has not believed in the name of the one and only Son of God. This is the judgment, that the light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the light; for their works were evil. For everyone who does evil hates the light, and does not come to the light, lest his works would be exposed. But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his works may be revealed, that they have been done in God. John 3:17-21 (WEB)
We stand with you in praying for the families who lost their loved ones and those affected by the recent New Year's Eve fireworks incident. We trust in the Lord's comfort and healing during this difficult time. We also pray for those affected by the rapid fires in California, asking God to send rain and provide comfort to all.
Regarding your family, we pray that God will continue to grant them wisdom and a desire to follow Him. We specifically lift up your oldest child, asking God to turn his life around and help him find his way back to the Lord. We rebuke the enemy's attempts to stumble him and pray that Satan will be cast out of his mind. Remember, Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded James 4:8 (WEB).
For your daughter and her boyfriend, we pray that they will start serving the Lord together, studying and praying together, and joining the young adult ministry. We encourage them to seek God's will for their relationship and pursue it in a manner that honors Him. We also pray for your youngest to start attending youth ministry. We denounce any sex before marriage and encourage him to seek a spouse rather than a partner. We encourage him to court with a goal of marriage to another Christian Believer.
For your friend and her boys, we pray that they will start attending church and that Anthony, their father, will have a change of heart and begin to show interest in knowing God and His promises. We pray that he will stop being hostile toward religion and that your friend and the boys would attend worship this coming Sunday without hesitation.
For your youngest boy, we pray for his safety at work and that he will learn to prioritize God over money. We ask God to teach him how to budget and save.
Lastly, we pray for you, Hokulea, that you will start your day with Bible reading each morning and memorize what you learn. We ask God to help you pray more and know exactly what to pray for. We encourage you to put on the full armor of God and to pray in the Spirit at all times. Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints Ephesians 6:18 (WEB).
We are so glad that you prayed in Jesus' name. It is only by the name of Jesus Christ that we are able to be reconciled to God. That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed Rom 10:9-11 (WEB).
Let us pray together.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up Hokulea and all their requests. We thank You for this new year and pray that many will come to know You and live in Jesus Christ. We ask for Your comfort and healing for those who have lost loved ones and those affected by recent tragedies. We pray for Hokulea's family, that they will continue to seek You and live according to Your will. We ask for Your guidance and provision in all areas of their lives. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
