We are glad to hear of the financial blessing you have received through your tax return. Seeing a bill turn into a provision that can help you and your daughter is a wonderful example of how God can turn situations around for our good.
However, while your prayer mentions the blood of Jesus, it does not specify the name of Jesus Christ, Christ, or Jesus. It's important to remember that it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God, and there is no other name by which we can be saved as told in Acts 4:12. The Bible says:
"In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace," (Ephesians 1:7 WEB).
We pray that you will continue to trust in the name of Jesus, forms of His name, or titles such as Christ for all things. Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus. We lift up our sister to celebrate her generous tax return. And we use his return as a reminder that every good and perfect gift comes from you. Thank you for your kindness and provision. We pray for her continued trust and faithfully standing on your promises. We pray this all in Jesus name. Amen
Regarding the IRS, while it is a part of the human governmental system and not inherently good or bad, we are instructed in Romans 13:1-2 to be be an honor to this system to pay all dues rightfully belonging to the country. Romans 13:7 says:
Therefore pay taxes, for the authorities are ministers of God, attending continually to this very thing.
Therefore, we pray for integrity and honor. We pray for your providing of work and paid income with legitimate income. We pray for you to find joy in paying your taxes as active participation in upholding government created by God. Amen.
Regarding your comment on your pets, while we understand the love and affection people have for their animals, but it is important to remember their proper position and role. Since you yourself brought up the issue of your pets, we address this subtle wrong action. It is important to remember that people should not be elevating pets to the level of children or family members. This type of thinking aligns with the Bible's warning in Romans 1:25, "They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised.". We use this scripture specifically to show the exchanging of the proper role of an animal. So we ask humbly to remember the importance of proper human family attachment, and remember as spirit filled Christians, to love God above all things.
