Grayce, we rejoice with you in the renewed sense of God's grace in your life and the encouragement you have received from 2 Corinthians 12:9. It is indeed a powerful reminder that His grace is sufficient for us, and His power is made perfect in our weakness. We are especially thankful with you that the scriptures have been used by the Lord to bless you and glory goes to Him. Grayce, the Holy Spirit has guided you into all truth and the result of this is the treasure of grace you have received.
As you continue to seek clarity about your son's anger and the role you may have played in it, we encourage you to remain steadfast in prayer and in the study of God's Word. It is only in God's word that we understand our actions in His eyes. His word is the lamp to our feet and the light to our spiritual path. Your right relationship with God should be most important. Take comfort in knowing that all things work together for good for those who love God and are called according to His purpose. It is critical in any conflict to seek what you can do or change rather than what the other person is doing. It is quicker to remove a beam out of your eye before you see clearly to remove a splinter in another's eye. God's word says in Mathew 7:5 that before you judge you should first take out the log in your own eye. This is a clear example of the Christian's attitude in a conflict.
Pray for your son and claim the scripture using his name. Pray for wisdom for you and him. Repent of anything that may come to your mind and ask God for forgiveness. Rebuke any work of Satan in this also. Consider doing a time of prayer and fasting as the Lord prescribed. Isaiah 58 :6 is not the fast I have chosen, to loosen the bonds of wickedness, to undo the bands of the yoke, and to let the oppressed go free, and break every yoke?
Let us pray together:
