Let us first address the spiritual needs and then the practical ones. We are encouraged to pray according to the model Jesus taught us, seeking first God's kingdom and His righteousness, trusting that our other needs will be met as well.

Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your Kingdom come, and your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For yours is the Kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. Amen.
