We are glad to hear that you have identified the need to change your life and turn fully to God but also need to address many issues in your life. We commend you for taking steps to grow spiritually in your prayer life and in Bible reading and fellowship. Your involvement in your college's ministry group is a positive step and part of your growing faith to help others.
First, you should understand that Jesus is the Son of God and is God Himself. You should know that you have sinned against God. And you should understand that God punished Jesus as if He had personally committed everyone of your sins but that Jesus lived a perfect life. At this point you accept a free gift of the grace of God and of Jesus Christ. It is by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved.
Fornication is indeed a sin against your own body, which is the temple of the Holy Spirit. As it is written, "Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s." 1 Corinthians 6:18-20 WEB
You acknowledge that you have been convicted in your wrongdoings and realize that persuading God to just let us continue in our sin is wrong. It is indeed encouraging to see that God is working on your heart. You should understand that anyone that decides to follow Jesus and not be lukewarm will be convicted of their sin and the clear turning away from willful sin and turning to God.
God promises forgiveness, especially if we repent wholeheartedly of own sins. In the scripture God promises in First John chapter 1 See 1 John 1:9 WEB.
"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
We will pray for your healing and for negative test results, trusting in God's mercy and grace.
Let us together pray for you.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up this young man who desires to change his life and fully commit to You. We thank You for the conviction You have placed on his heart and for drawing him closer to You. We pray God that you forgive his sins and accept his acceptance of the free gift Jesus provided him.
Father guide his understanding of Jesus Christ, Your Son, to be a more complete one knowing that he is only saved by the name of Jesus. We pray that You will bless him to help others.
Lord, we pray for his healing, both physically and spiritually. We ask that You grant him receive negative test results, and that You deliver him from the bondage of lust and fornication. There is no sin that you haven't provided a way of escape, God. We ask that he will be able to learn to accept that way. We pray that he takes the weapons of God to fight temptation and especially places himself in a admirable environment, possibly the college Christian group.
Help him to honor his body as Your temple, and guide him in Your truth. Strengthen his resolve to live a life pleasing to You, and surround him with godly influences and supportive friends from his college ministry group to encourage and keep him accountable to his commitment. Teach him to, with the strength know how to say no. How to avoid the situations that may trigger this weakness. Help him to learn to hear your voice so he can hear your instructions.
And be aware that he is afraid of what this decision may bring about through a lack of understanding that turning away from sin is not something to be feared and total understanding of salvation. He may even be terrified of what consequences people will bring about or even Satan's demon's when he turns totally to God. Help him to know that there is no fear in love but perfect love casts out fear because of what he may be punished. And as Your Word says in First John 4:18. WEB ""There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear has punishment. He who fears is not made perfect in love."" . Teach him to take one day at a time and make every effort to avoiding sin and to embrace Jesus Christ, In Jesus' name we seek His Glory and pray. Amen.
