It’s 18 hours until Maeve’s arrival in Canada, and honestly, I’m terrified. I’m scared about spending time with her, terrified of being rejected, and even a little afraid of what happens if she accepts me. To give you a bit of context, I’m 20 years old, I have a driver’s license but no car, and my parents are going up north while I’m staying behind. I really need to convince one of them to let me borrow a car, as it would make spending time with Maeve and Chloe much easier. Originally, my parents were planning to take both vehicles, but now that my grandmother is quarantined in her nursing home due to an outbreak of a gastrointestinal disease, they don’t really need both cars for their trip anymore. Having a car would allow me to chauffeur Maeve and Chloe around safely and comfortably. Chloe doesn’t drive, and Maeve tends to avoid driving whenever she can—especially in a Canadian winter. A vehicle would make a big difference in helping me spend time with them, and it would go a long way in creating opportunities for reconciliation. Please pray: • That I can successfully convince my parents to let me borrow one of the cars while they are away. • For Maeve’s safe arrival in Canada and for her to be prepared emotionally and spiritually for whatever happens during her visit. • That I will have the courage and wisdom to navigate these next few days in a way that honors God and reflects His love. • For God to bless the time I spend with Maeve and Chloe, allowing opportunities for reconciliation, growth, and healing. • For my Nana and everyone at her nursing home who is affected by the gastrointestinal outbreak. Pray for healing, protection, and strength for all the elderly residents and the staff caring for them. • Most importantly, pray that this situation leads both Maeve and me closer to Christ, and that if it is His will, it results in a relationship built on faith and love. I pray for all these things in Jesus’s name, and I thank you for your continued support and prayers.
