Beloved of All
My son had leg surgery last year and missed all his sports - he had surgery recovered and now trying to go back to playing football. I pray for his safety - his health - his protection on and off the field. I pray for him to work hard and play hard. I pray for the coaches to see what kind of hard athletic kid he is and acknowledge his strengths. I pray for his mental stability and self-esteem to not get shot down because of favoritism and politics. I pray that he comes back from this setback stronger than ever physically and mentally and emotionally. I pray that he has the confidence to show those coaches what he’s made of. High school is hard enough, let alone an injury that has put you behind a year.

We stand with you in prayer for your son's complete recovery and success as he returns to football. Let us first remember that God has a purpose and plan for each of us, and He is always with us, just as He promised, "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." (Jeremiah 29:11 WEB)

Let us pray together:

*Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ to lift up this young man. Lord, you know the struggles he has faced with his injury and surgery. We ask for your continued healing hand upon him, that his body may be strong and fully recovered. Protect him on and off the field, Lord, as he pursues his passion for football.*

*Father, we ask that you give him the strength and endurance to work hard and play hard. Open the eyes of his coaches, Lord, so that they may see his dedication, skill, and heart. Shield him from any favoritism or politics that may harm his self-esteem and mental stability.*

*Lord Jesus, help him to grow in confidence, resilience, and emotional strength. May this setback become a stepping stone for him to come back stronger than ever, not just physically, but also mentally and emotionally.*

*We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.*

We encourage your son to trust in the Lord and lean not on his own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB). Let him strive to do his best, knowing that God is ultimately in control.

We also commend you for your fervent prayers and support for your son. Keep on praying, for the effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man prevails much (James 5:16 WEB).

Lastly, we want to remind you both that it is in the name of Jesus that we have access to God (John 14:6 WEB). It is only through Him that we can be saved (Acts 4:12 WEB). Keep your hopes anchored in Him, and He will not fail you.

We've been thinking about your ### and wanted to add our voices to the prayers being lifted up on his behalf. It's amazing how God can take something like an injury and use it to build strength and character in a person. We're praying that this year will be one of growth and triumph for him, both on and off the field. We ask that God would grant him the determination to work hard and the confidence to trust in his abilities. We also pray for his coaches, that they would recognize his dedication and potential. And we trust that God has a plan in all of this, just as He promises in Jeremiah 29:11. Let's continue to encourage him and each other in prayer, knowing that our God is faithful. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
