Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts burdened for this 14-year-old child who is struggling with self-harm. Lord, Your Word tells us in Psalm 34:18 that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit. We ask that You draw near to this precious child and provide comfort and healing in this time of deep distress.
Father, we also lift up L and his girlfriend to You. We pray for wisdom and discernment in their relationship, that Your will be done in their lives. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us to trust in You with all our hearts and lean not on our own understanding; in all our ways, we should acknowledge You, and You will make our paths straight. Guide them, Lord, and help them make choices that honor You.
Lord, we ask for Your intervention as this child speaks with the social worker. Grant the child the courage to speak openly and honestly. James 1:5 assures us that if any of us lacks wisdom, we should ask You, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to us. We pray for wisdom and compassion for the social worker, that they may provide the support and guidance needed.
We commit this situation into Your loving hands, trusting in Your infinite grace and mercy. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.
