Dear Lord,
The antiviral med I took for shingles can cause a drop in kidney function. It is insoluble, so crystals tend to form in the delicate kidney tubules. It may or may not be reversible; the data are not clear. My GFR went from 51 to 34 in the transplant kidney. It is very concerning.
