Deuteronomy has three messages that make us look in different directions: look back at God's faithfulness, look up at Jesus, and look forward. This repetition of the law reinforces God's heart in many areas, such as obedience in small commandments, requirements for spiritual leaders, dangers of prosperity and false prophets.
