Parkyns describes the sad story of the corruptions of the papacy leading up to the time of the Reformation. He then describes the story of Martin Luther and his discovery of justification by faith, the bittersweet times that followed, other reformers whom God raised up, such as Zwingle and Calvin, and the break in Britain with the Roman Church.
