How amazing that our Lord prayed! He was the strongest of the strong and yet look how much He prayed, here we see, in what Pastor Fitch calls the 'Holy of Holies' of the whole Bible, that the Lord was extremely concerned with the state of His Church that was in the World but yet called out of it. Our Lord meditates on the gift of His Church, intercedes for the purity of His Church, declares the authority of His Church and expects the unity of His Church.
